December 2019 – Graded wins the Smau Innovation Award for the new “E-Procurement” platform

Open Innovation, Graded is among the 23 success cases identified in the Neapolitan stage of the Smau Roadshow, the main business matching platform in Italy in the sectors of innovation and digital technologies for businesses and local public administrations. On Friday December 13, 2019 in Naples the assignment of the “Innovation Award”, at the end of the “Smau Live Show” during which the excellences of the territory have told their experience in the field of digital transformation and illustrated the ongoing projects. Graded was awarded for its “E-procurement”, an innovative cross-platform available on PC and smart devices also through an app. The project allows automation and optimization of the purchasing office practices and offers a series of advantages for the Logistics, Compliance and Management Control areas.

Sustainable development, Graded joins the UN Global Compact

Promote the awareness and action of companies in support of sustainability: Graded joins the United Nations Global Compact, an international organization that brings together more than 18 thousand firms from over 160 countries around the world, 388 from Italy.  
This is the largest strategic corporate initiative in the world that aims to support companies in integrating the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact – relating to human rights, labor conditions standard, environmental protection and the fight against all kinds of corruption. – within its strategy and contribution in order to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals set out in the 2030 Agenda.

Startup with high potential, at the start Campania Venture

Social innovation investment: part of “Campania Venture”, an innovative project launched by The European House-Ambrosetti at the urging of eight strategic Neapolitan companies in the area. The 2019-2020 edition of DIGITA has confirmed Graded partner «Platinum» of the Academy born from the partnership between the University of Naples Federico II and Deloitte Digital. But, unlike last year, the stage on which the students “climbed” to illustrate the results of the project work on the Energy Mangement System, at the end of its path, was virtual, away from the classrooms of San Giovanni in Teduccio, but with even more enthusiasm and desire to look to the future despite the limitations imposed by the health emergency.

TECHNOLOGICAL TRANSFER, GRADED AMONG THE 6 EUROPEAN COMPANIES SELECTED FOR "DISRUPT ME"

Connecting European companies with cutting-edge technologies and solutions of the Israeli innovative ecosystem: this is the objective of “Disrupt Me”, an open innovation program designed and managed by the EIT Hub (European Institute of Innovation & Technology), with the support by Deloitte Catalyst. Graded is one of the six companies selected through a Call to participate in the pilot initiative that has allowed European companies to meet and attract Israeli hi-tech startups to collaborate on common projects, promoting a faster adoption of new technologies ready to be placed on the market.

GRADED DUBAI BRANCH OPENING

The new branch in Dubai was inaugurated at the end of October, the commercial office from which the company will be able to serve customers throughout the Middle Eastern area. The new branch is located in the heart of Business Bay, the pulsating center of Dubai’s financial and commercial activities, as well as home to major multinationals and investment banks. The office is on the ninth floor of the U-Bora Commercial Tower, a modern and elegant building on Al Abraj Street, which houses some of the most important engineering, financial consultancy and multinational companies such as Nokia and Hyundai. This is a further step in the company’s internationalization process.

Partner Platinum DIGITA ACADEMY 2018-2019

The 2018-2019 edition of DIGITA saw Graded being “promoted” to “Platinum” partner of the academy born from the partnership between the University of Naples Federico II and Deloitte Digital, with the possibility of illustrating a research project, case of study or implementation during the second module of the course and to participate in the final Roadshow. On the occasion of the Graduation Day organized for the closure of the academic year, Graded was therefore able to present the result of the e-procurement project work on stage: an artificial intelligence software for the optimization of purchase orders.

COALITION FOR ACTION IRENA MEMBERS

From 2019 Graded becomes a permanent member of the IRENA Coalition for action program, an international network created in 2014 by the Renewable Energy Agency together with 35 sector operators from all over the world with the aim of promoting a wider and faster diffusion of renewable energy technologies. The organization is a key network for discussing industry trends, determining actions, sharing knowledge and exchanging best practices with the vision of guiding the global energy transition in line with the goal of sustainable energy development. Today the Coalition brings together 96 leading players in the renewable energy sector, including private sector companies, industrial associations, civil society, research institutes and intergovernmental organizations.The “Business and Investors” group operates within the team chaired by the Global Solar Council (GSC) and the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) with the aim of providing a platform for businesses and investors in the renewable energy sector. , to discuss current challenges and agree solutions to propose to policy makers on green issues. Graded participates proactively, also carving out a role of specialist in renewable energy with digital technologies, in three working groups: Towards 100% Energy Group, Community Energy Group, Business & Investors Group. Joining this organization represents a great opportunity to carry on the internationalization process started and, at the same time, give a decisive boost to the development of renewables in line with the company vision.

MIT REAP PROGRAM

Graded participates as a permanent member in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology – Regional Entrepreneurship Acceleration Program (MIT REAP) together with 7 other high profile stakeholders from the institutional, academic, industrial and financial world. This is the entrepreneurial acceleration program promoted by the Boston MIT and coordinated in Campania by the Parthenope University through the Department of Business and Quantitative Studies (Disaq), which aims to plan and develop solutions aimed at stimulating the competitiveness of local innovation. The program is based on the “Mit Innovation Ecosystem framework” developed by the Mit Sloan School of Management,according to which the design of an effective territorial innovation policy requires the involvement of 5 categories of “stakeholders”: Large enterprises; Innovative small and medium-sized enterprises; Financial institutions; Universities and Research Bodies; Local institutions. The members of the Campania group were joined by a team of MIT experts as part of a two-year training. The goal: to identify the regional competitive advantage, on the basis of which to devise a plan of initiatives to support the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the Region and guide its subsequent implementation in the area.The members of the Campania group were joined by a team of MIT experts as part of a two-year training. PARTICIPATION WETEX DUBAI 2019

Graded participated in the 21st edition of “WETEX Dubai”, the main annual exhibition of the United Arab Emirates dedicated to water, energy, technology and the environment (“Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition”). Three key projects illustrated during the three days at the Dubai Convention and Exhibition Center: the energy efficiency system created for the Federico II Hospital in Naples, already recognized as a pioneering “case study” at the Health Forum in Florence; “Geogrid”, a research project on geothermal energy that Graded is carrying out in collaboration with the Parthenope University, Federico II of Naples and INGV; “Green Farm”, the ecological farm capable of operating and self-sustaining by exploiting renewable energy sources such as sun and biomass.A futuristic intuition that we will also bring to Expo 2020 in Dubai and that we are carrying out, experimentally and in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture of Federico II, on a farm in Castel Volturno owned by the Department.

PARTICIPATION IN THE INNOVATION VILLAGE

Graded participated in the exhibition-event at the “Innovation Village” in the National Railway Museum of Pietrarsa held from 4 to 6 April 2019 to present the technological challenge loaded on the Open Innovation platform and the project with “Green Farm” together with the Agriculture Department of the Federico II.
Graded was the first company to enroll in the new “Open innovation” tool made available by the Campania Region and to launch the first challenge to gather ideas and proposals from the innovators present on it.

PLATINUM PARTNER DIGITA ACADEMY 2017-2018

Project work, implementation of a technological solution identified by the company and brought to the attention of students, possible continuation of internships in the company. In March 2018, the collaboration between Graded and Digita, the new “Digital Transformation & Industry Innovation Academy” of the University of Naples Federico II, started in partnership with Deloitte Digital. The aim is to provide young talents with the skills necessary to bridge the gap between businesses and the Digital and Industry 4.0 ecosystem. At the end of the first academic year, on the occasion of the final Roadshow and the Graduation Day, Graded was selected together with three other companies for the pitch presentation on the stage of their project work: the “PV Desk”,a remote monitoring dashboard of the photovoltaic system built and managed in Ianova, Romania, 4,200 panels with a power of 1 Mw over an area of 27 thousand square meters.

EXPO PERU’ 2018

On 7 and 8 March 2018 Graded participated in the “Expo Energia Peru”, a conference held in Lima every year with the aim of bringing companies closer to new investment opportunities based on an analysis of the sectoral policy of the electricity market Peruvian, updating rules and regulations and identifying new industrial consumers. After attending the event, Graded engineer Max Romero received an invitation to write an article on “RevistaEnergia.pe”, a specialized publication distributed in the industrial sector by the conference organizers themselves.

EXPO ASTANA 2017

Security of energy supply, efficiency and rational use of resources, simplified access to energy. Graded took part in Expo 2017 on the theme of “The energy of the future” which was held in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, from 10 June to 10 September. A great opportunity to see the most modern technologies on display for the implementation of the global plan for the abatement of pollutants caused by traditional fossil supply sources.
In the Italian Pavilion Graded he joined the Caserta company CMD (Diesel Engine Construction), selected by an International Commission to be part of the twenty best practices in Kazakhstan thanks to an innovative biomass treatment technology, which has its centerpiece in a pyrogasifier patented ECO20, medium-small size, and therefore quick and flexible to use. To the development and diffusion of the technology and the patent, CMD worked in partnership with Graded who participated in several technical sessions of the Expo in July. Graded and CMD also welcomed the Italian delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs together in September.

PHOTOVOLTAIC, IN ROMANIA HIGH EFFICIENCY SYSTEM MANAGED REMOTELY

Graded holds 100% of PEV, a Romanian company with registered office in Ianova, Romania, which manages a photovoltaic system with approximately 1 mWp of power. A plant that combines sustainability and innovation: thanks to its own monitoring dashboard, in fact, the company remotely manages not only to view the daily production of electricity and compare it with the expected one, but also to verify and prevent any anomalies in real time on the system which are automatically communicated to the on-site service company for immediate restoration. The PV plant of PEV was also the protagonist of the PV DESK project carried out by Graded in collaboration with the DIGITA Academy during the first academic year.
